Por qué bucear en Phi Phi
El archipiélago de Phi Phi se encuentra dentro de un Parque Nacional Marino en el mar de Andamán, a 46 km de Phuket y Krabi. Cuándo bucear en Koh Phi Phi Don
Puedes bucear en Koh Phi Phi todo el año. La temperatura del agua se mantiene entre 27 y 30 °C, las corrientes son generalmente suaves y la mayoría de operadores (incluidos nosotros) organizan salidas los 365 días del año. La estación seca —noviembre a abril— ofrece los mares más tranquilos y la mejor visibilidad (hasta 30 m en febrero y marzo). Yes — Phi Phi is one of Thailand's signature diving destinations. The archipelago sits inside a Marine National Park in the Andaman Sea with healthy reefs, year-round reef sharks and leopard sharks, vertical walls at sites like Hin Daeng, and the famous King Cruiser wreck just north of the island. Visibility is consistently good, currents are mostly gentle, and dive sites are 20 to 60 minutes from our centre in Tonsai Bay.
Can beginners dive in Phi Phi?
Yes, and Phi Phi is one of the best places in Thailand to learn. Sites like Bida Nai, Maya Bay and Anemone Reef have gentle currents, shallow profiles and easy entries — perfect for Try Scuba, Scuba Diver and Open Water students. Advanced sites like Hin Daeng, Hin Muang and the King Cruiser wreck are reserved for certified divers with the right experience.
When is the best time to dive in Koh Phi Phi?
November to April — the dry season. Visibility peaks at 25–30 m in February and March, seas are calm, and water temperature sits between 27 and 30 °C. The wet season (May–October) is still divable almost every day; you get more plankton (and therefore a higher chance of whale sharks and mantas at Hin Daeng/Hin Muang), but visibility drops by around 25%.
What's the water temperature in Phi Phi?
Surface temperature stays between 27 °C (December–January) and 30 °C (March–May) all year. A shortie or rashguard is enough most days; some divers wear a 3 mm wetsuit during the cooler months.

Typically 15 to 30 metres. Best in February and March (up to 30 m), worst during the heaviest rain of the southwest monsoon (June–October), when it can drop to 12–15 m. Northern sites like Shark Point and the King Cruiser usually hold better visibility than the southern reefs during the rainy season.
Are there sharks in Phi Phi?
Yes — and the ones you'll see are completely harmless. The most common are black-tip reef sharks (year-round at Maya Bay and Bida Nok), leopard sharks resting on the sand at Shark Point, and occasionally bamboo sharks inside the King Cruiser wreck. Whale sharks are seasonal and rare but do appear at Hin Daeng and Hin Muang during the plankton-rich months (June–October).
How much does diving in Phi Phi cost?
Fun dives start at 2,700 THB for two tanks and courses range from 3,600 THB for a Try Scuba day to 37,000 THB for the full Divemaster programme. See the courses section above for the full price list. National Marine Park fees (600 THB first day, 200 THB each extra day) are not included and are paid on the boat.
How do I get to Phi Phi?
By ferry. The two main entry points are Krabi (Klong Jilad Pier or Ao Nang) and Phuket (Rassada Pier) — both routes take roughly 90 minutes to 2 hours by ferry, or 45 minutes by speedboat. Our centre is in Tonsai Bay, a 5-minute walk from the pier where every ferry arrives.
