The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty at DPM Diving in Gili Trawangan teaches divers how to plan and execute dives using enriched air mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen. Enriched air reduces nitrogen loading at a given depth compared with standard air (21% oxygen), allowing divers to extend no-decompression limits at moderate depths and shorten surface intervals between consecutive dives — a practical advantage on full diving days. The course covers theory on oxygen toxicity limits and the maximum operating depth for each mix, gas analysis with an oxygen analyser before every dive, dive planning with enriched air, and the use of dive computers switched to Nitrox mode for accurate no-decompression tracking.
A written exam at the end of the course confirms the theoretical knowledge. The practical component includes open-water dives using Nitrox, with the analyser checked together with the instructor before each descent. On completion you receive the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification, internationally recognised and valid for life.
The price is 3,200,000 IDR. Prerequisites: a valid Open Water Diver certification or higher from any recognised agency. A standard SSI medical questionnaire is completed before the water sessions.
A one-time National Marine Park Fee of 100,000 IDR is paid separately in cash. Bookings via WhatsApp.
