Try Scuba Diving in Gili Trawangan

Try Scuba Diving at DPM Diving in Gili Trawangan is a one-day introductory programme for anyone who has never dived before. No prior experience and no certification are required, and the day does not result in a certification. The day begins with a classroom briefing covering the basics of scuba equipment (mask, regulator, BCD, dive computer) and the safety rules you need before entering the water — equalisation, breathing technique and basic hand signals.

After the briefing you complete a pool session to practise breathing underwater and basic equipment handling in a controlled environment. The day finishes with two dives in the sea around Gili Trawangan, accompanied by a professional SSI instructor throughout both dives. The 1,750,000 IDR price covers two dives, the pool session, a professional SSI instructor, full dive gear, dive insurance and snacks on board.

A standard medical questionnaire is completed before the session; participants with pre-existing cardiac or respiratory conditions should consult a doctor before any in-water activity. If you want to continue diving after the experience, the SSI Open Water course (three days, 6,400,000 IDR) is the natural next step. A one-time National Marine Park Fee of 100,000 IDR is paid separately in cash.
