SSI Scuba Diver Course in Gili Air

The SSI Scuba Diver course at DPM Diving in Gili Air is a one-day programme for anyone wanting an internationally recognised scuba certification in the shortest possible time. The licence is valid worldwide to a maximum depth of 12 metres and is upgradeable to a full Open Water Diver certification at any time and at any SSI centre worldwide. The course covers classroom theory (equipment, dive physics and safety procedures), confined-water skills (mask clearing, regulator recovery, buoyancy control and equalisation) and open-water dives to the 12-metre limit with a professional SSI instructor in attendance throughout.

Unlike the Open Water Diver certification, the Scuba Diver requires diving with a professional instructor or dive guide at all times — it is a supervised entry-level certification, not an independent one. The 4,600,000 IDR price includes the SSI Scuba Diver international lifetime certification, full dive gear, a professional SSI instructor, dive insurance and snacks on board. A standard SSI medical questionnaire is completed before water entry.

No prior diving experience is required. Minimum age: 10 years (SSI Junior Scuba Diver, supervised, with the same 12-metre limit). A one-time National Marine Park Fee of 100,000 IDR is paid separately in cash.
