Advanced Diving Courses & Specialties
If you are a certified diver and are looking to expand your knowledge and take the next step in your diving adventure, there are many advanced level courses and specialties to choose from.
All of them include the official SSI certification of completion, training materials, classes and practical sessions.
Advanced Adventurer
This program allows you to experience different dives from 5 SSI Specialties. Some of the most popular are deep diving, wreck diving, and night dives.
After completing the Advanced course you’ll get certified to dive to 30 mt (98 ft)
This is a very practical course with very little theory, a total of 5 dives and is completed in only 2 days.
Advanced Adventurer Course Itinerary
Day 1: Theory ( Adventure Dives 1, 2 and 3)
Day 2: Theory ( Adventure Dives 4, 5 )

Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty
The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty program will teach you how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Diving with enriched air brings a lot of benefits, such us:
- Increase your no-decompression limits
- Increase your safety
- Reduce the required length of your surface intervals
This is specially useful for diving trips and liveaboards, where most of the time companies include Nitrox tanks for free.

After completing this program, you will earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

Deep Diving Specialty
Many exciting dive sites are located in deeper water. The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will give you the ability to safely and comfortably plan and conduct dives beyond 18 meters.
After completing this Specialy course, you’ll be able to dive down to 40 meteres / 130 feet, the maximum depth allowed for recrational diving.

- Certification Prerequisites: Open Water Diver
- Academic Sessions: 1
- Water Training: 3 Open Water Dives
- Max. Training Depth: 40 meters / 130 feet
- Total Program Length: 2 Days

Perfect Buoyancy Specialty
The SSI Perfect Buoyancy program teaches you the skills and techniques needed to maximize your dive experience, increase your comfort in the water, and get the most from your equipment.
During this program you will learn how to:
- Increase your buoyancy control
- Minimize your breathing gas consumption
- Move effortlessly above the ocean floor

- Minimum age: 10
- Certification Prerequisites: Open Water Diver
- Academic Sessions: Class + Online learning
- Water Training: 1 Pool/Confinded Session + Optional Open Water Dives
- Max. Training Depth: Optional

Navigation Specialty
This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably navigate underwater during a dive. You will learn how to use a compass and natural navigation techniques, estimate distance, basic navigation patterns and how to leave and return to a designated point.

You will earn the SSI Navigation Specialty certification after completing this program.

Emergency Training: React Right
React Right is SSI’s emergency training program, consisting of the following basic components:
- Primary Assessment
- First Aid & CPR Skills
- Primary Stabilization Techniques
Includes two optional components:
- Oxygen Administration in Diving Emergencies
- Automated External Defibrilation Basics
During this course you will learn how to deal with emergency situations, diving or not diving related. In only 1 day you will get the knowledge and training to react properly on emergencies, what to do, whant not to do, and the right order of steps you need to take to deal with the situation in a safe and efficient way.

Students who complete this program earn the SSI React Right specialty certification.

Diver Stress & Rescue
Stress is a major cause of diving accidents and negatively impacts rescue situations.
The SSI Diver Stress & Rescue course teaches you the skills and knowledge required to:
- Recognize and deal with stress
- Prevent accidents
- Properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers
After completing this training, you will be ready to act in real life situations, you will gain confidence underwater, and you will be a safer and better diver.

- Certification Prerequisites: Open Water Diver + React Right
- Academic Sessions: 2
- Water Training: 2 Pool / Confined Session + 3 Open Water Dives

You will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification after completing this program.
