Ignacia Navarrete is a diving professional whose career reflects evolution, commitment, and a deep passion for the ocean.
Her training as a diver began in Chile, but she later decided to travel to Thailand in search of new experiences and a life more connected to the sea. What initially may have been just an adventure became the start of a solid and transformative career in the world of diving.
She discovered she could make a living from her passion, so she trained as a diving instructor, dedicating time, discipline, and consistency to perfecting her technical and teaching skills. Her teaching style—calm, clear, and approachable—has allowed her to convey safety and confidence to divers of all levels, from those submerging for the first time to those looking to advance further in their training.
Over the years, she accumulated extensive experience working intensively in the industry, guiding dives in different settings, accompanying hundreds of divers, and facing the daily challenges that come with a professional life in the ocean. Her natural leadership, work ethic, and attention to detail led her to take on greater responsibilities, always with the goal of maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Today, Ignacia Navarrete is part of the DPM Diving team in Indonesia, serving as co-founder and working between Gili Air and Gili Trawangan, where she combines her technical expertise, her knowledge of the local environment, and her passion for the sea to deliver unforgettable diving experiences. From this position, she continues training new divers and sharing every day the enthusiasm that led her to choose the ocean as her path.
