The Advanced course at DPM Diving in Koh Tao is a two-day SSI programme that takes Open Water-certified divers to a maximum depth of 30 metres. The course covers five dives in total: Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation, Deep Dive, Wreck Dive and Night Dive. No theory classes or exams are required — this is a practical, in-water course throughout.
The Deep Dive is conducted at sites such as Chumphon Pinnacle or Southwest Pinnacle, both of which reach well beyond 30 metres. The Wreck Dive takes place at the HTMS Sattakut, a decommissioned Royal Thai Navy vessel sitting at 18-30 metres depth. Night diving at Japanese Gardens introduces low-light navigation and torch techniques in calm, sheltered water.
Prerequisites: a valid Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent from any recognised agency). The course price of 10,000 THB includes all dive equipment, the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification and dive insurance. A standard SSI medical questionnaire is completed before the course begins.
Participants with pre-existing cardiac or respiratory conditions should consult a doctor before enrolling, as required by SSI standards. On completion, your SSI Advanced Adventurer certification is valid globally for life with no renewal required. Bookings are handled via WhatsApp.
