The Try Scuba Diving programme at DPM Diving in Nusa Penida is a 1.5-day introductory experience for first-timers who want to experience scuba without committing to a certification course. No prior diving experience is required. Day 1 (afternoon, meeting at 1:15pm): classroom theory covering the basics of scuba equipment (mask, regulator, BCD, dive computer) and safety rules including equalisation, breathing technique and basic hand signals, followed by a pool training session to practise breathing underwater and basic equipment handling in a controlled environment.
Day 2 (morning, meeting at 7am): two open-water dives to a maximum depth of 12 metres with a professional SSI instructor accompanying you throughout both dives. The programme includes a professional dive instructor, all dive equipment, dive insurance, snacks on board and a towel. A standard medical questionnaire is completed before the programme begins; participants with pre-existing cardiac or respiratory conditions should consult a doctor before any in-water activity.
Try Scuba does not result in a certification — the SSI Open Water course (three days, 6,400,000 IDR) is the natural next step for those who want to continue. Bookings via WhatsApp.
