The Advanced course at DPM Diving in Koh Phi Phi is a two-day SSI programme that takes Open Water-certified divers to a maximum depth of 30 metres. Five adventure dives are included: Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation, Deep Dive, Wreck Dive and Night Dive. No theory class or written exam is required — the course is entirely practical and built around in-water performance.

Each adventure dive focuses on a specific skill: Perfect Buoyancy refines trim and air consumption; Navigation introduces underwater compass work and natural navigation; the Deep Dive reaches 30 metres with planning for gas consumption at depth; the Wreck Dive practises external wreck protocols; and the Night Dive covers light protocols and orientation after dark. Dive sites are selected from the standard rotation around the Phi Phi archipelago depending on wind, current and surface conditions. Prerequisites: a valid Open Water Diver certification from any recognised agency.

The price of 10,400 THB includes all dive equipment, the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification, dive insurance and lunch. A National Marine Park Fee applies for diving in Phi Phi: 600 THB on day one and 200 THB on day two (total 800 THB, paid in cash to park authorities). A standard SSI medical questionnaire is completed before the course.
