The SSI Scuba Diver course at DPM Diving in Nusa Penida is a two-day programme that provides the first scuba certification, valid worldwide to a maximum depth of 12 metres. It covers approximately half of the Open Water Diver course content — the same theory modules and pool skills — and can be upgraded to a full Open Water certification at any time and at any SSI centre worldwide. The programme runs over two days, structured around a theory module on equipment, dive physics and safety procedures, a confined-water skills session, and open-water dives to the 12-metre limit with a professional SSI instructor in attendance throughout.
Unlike the Open Water Diver certification (which allows independent diving with a certified buddy), the Scuba Diver certification requires diving with a professional instructor or dive guide at all times. The price of 5,000,000 IDR includes the SSI Scuba Diver international lifetime certification, full dive equipment, a professional SSI instructor, dive insurance, snacks on board and shower and towel service. A standard SSI medical questionnaire is completed before water entry.
No prior diving experience is required. Minimum age: 10 years (SSI Junior Scuba Diver, supervised, with the same depth limit). Bookings via WhatsApp.
