SSI React Right

The SSI React Right course at DPM Diving in Koh Phi Phi is a one-day dry course (no in-water sessions) that teaches emergency first response skills applicable to diving and non-diving situations. It is the standard first aid prerequisite for the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue course and, together with Stress and Rescue, for the SSI Divemaster programme. The course covers Primary Assessment, First Aid and CPR Skills, Primary Stabilization Techniques, and two optional components: Oxygen Administration in Diving Emergencies and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) basics.

The format combines self-study (working through SSI course materials and knowledge review questions at your own pace) with a practical classroom session led by an SSI React Right Instructor, including scenario-based skill drills. On completion you receive the SSI React Right Provider accreditation, valid for two years and renewable to maintain active status. The 4,500 THB fee covers all course materials, the practical session and instructor time.

A standard SSI medical questionnaire is completed before the course. Note: React Right is a foundational first response programme for recreational divers and does not replace EMT or higher comprehensive emergency medical training.
