The Try Scuba Diving programme at DPM Diving in Koh Phi Phi is a half-day introductory experience for first-timers who want to experience scuba without committing to a certification course. No prior diving experience is required. The programme begins with a short classroom session covering the basics of scuba equipment (mask, regulator, BCD, dive computer) and the safety rules you need before entering the water — equalisation, breathing technique and basic hand signals.
You then join the morning or afternoon boat for two dives in the Andaman Sea around Phi Phi, with a professional SSI instructor accompanying you throughout. The maximum depth for the programme is 12 metres. Boat departures: morning 7am to 12pm or afternoon 1pm to 5pm.
The price of 3,600 THB includes two dives, a professional SSI instructor, full dive equipment and lunch. A National Marine Park Fee of 600 THB applies on the day (paid separately in cash to park authorities). A standard medical questionnaire is completed before the session.
Try Scuba does not result in a certification — if you want to continue diving, the SSI Open Water course (three days, 12,900 THB) is the natural next step. Bookings via WhatsApp.
